Honestly, the immediate goal i have is to work on my current research and get it to where i want it to be this summer; having a time limit and other factors prevented me from putting my best effort towards my topic. I want to get my story published along with a piece that my brother is working on–both deal with the same issues. I would also like to begin another research this summer. I know that i still have 2 years left in my undergraduate studies and will be performing more research so this will aid in that process by allowing me to continue on getting better as a researcher. I don’t plan on being a researcher in graduate school, but again, i realize that i still will have to perform some. Being familiarized with the process will aid in these future endeavors.
The proudest moment in this course came from two instances. When i first finished Introduction and Literature Review i looked back at it and smiled. I realized that i had spent the whole spring break on just the literature review alone and the time was put into good use. To enforce my belief that i did what i needed to do well the first time around, i received many positive reviews from students that the content, structure and use of citations were amazing. My second, and probably the best moment was receiving positive feedback from my peers who had read my story. They told me that they were hooked the whole way through and they experienced many emotions. My younger brother read the story and he said it brought tears to his eyes–it took him back to our life as young kids–the best feeling.
My story is the greatest thing that will stick with me. It is so personal and emotional connected to me that it will long live mostly anything that i have in this life. The whole research process will benefit me in the near future; my studies permit me to be knowledgeable in the area of research so this experience will greatly benefit me.
